IFRS: new requirements and practical aspects of application
On December 18, KPMG in Ukraine held a seminar “New requirements and aspects of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) application”. The seminar, which took place at one of Kyiv’s top hotels, gathered 130 CFOs and chief accountants representing almost 100 Ukrainian and international companies.
Opened by Floris Schuring, Managing Partner, KPMG in Ukraine, and moderated by Andrey Tsymbal, Partner, Head of Audit Department, KPMG in Ukraine, the seminar included presentations that were made by the firm’s top people from the Audit Department who covered a range of vital topics. Artem Tkachenko, Manager, covered practical issues of IFRS 36 and the latest changes in the IFRS 23. Alexander Gavriliuk, Senior Manager, highlighted changes in IFRS 1 and some new vital requirements and changes in IFRS. Anna Parkhomenko, Partner, spoke on practical aspects of the analysis of covenants appliance, and provided an in-sight into IFRS 8.
On December 21, a similar event was conducted by the same team in Donetsk. The seminar in Donetsk was attended by 50 delegates representing 10 leading Ukrainian and international businesses.
Participants of both seminars asked many questions related to their practical activities and initiated a range of interesting discussions.
